How does timeforone choose our venues- do they pay us?

Time for One does not allow venues to pay their way on to the site. We cherry pick the ones where we experience comfort, welcome and excellent quality delivered with passion and feature them independently without payment. That’s why we’re keen and open to hearing your views and experiences, so you in turn can shape the site.

How can I book the restaurant tables?

The joy of solo dining is that you rarely need to! The majority of our venues offer counter dining or communal tables and only on rare exceptions are these reservable. In our experience a solo diner is always able to grab a spot ahead of any queue, just make yourself known.

How do we select venues?

We look for venues that specifically welcome people on their own, both seating or accommodation styles and in atmosphere. In our chosen venues the staff are friendly and passionate about their products and service and respect customers who are keen to 'do their own thing'. Such venues usually attract a like minded clientele and provide a great space to enjoy solo or strike up friendly conversations.

Can I add comments? 

Yes, you'll find a user comment section at the bottom of each venue page or you can submit a suggestion through the contact us section.. 

Price Brackets:

These show the band that the majority of prices fall into.

In tableforone:

Low= up to £8

Medium= £8-13

High= £11-17

Deluxe= £16+

Typical Dish?

We don't know if you fancy a single course or three so we simply provide the most popular dish and its price to give you a feel for what's on offer.

How to search most effectively:

Use a keyword search for example the area or specific venue if you have one in mind. You can search even using a part word e.g. barra for Barrafina. This way spelling doesn't get in the way!

Tick attributes to refine your search. E.g. a seating style plus a cuisine and something you're in the mood for.

We advise you enter a location e.g. London into the keyword search to filter individual cities only.

If you don't receive a specific match you will need to research with less ticked attributes.
